2010 Hurst Mustang Pace Car Enters Production

If you ever wanted to own a pace car of your own and didn't know where to turn to, then here's the answer. Hurst Performance announced yesterday that its Mustang Pace Car, built in cooperation with BF Goodrich, will become a 50 units limited edition.

"Hurst has a unique place in the world of pace cars," Ron Flint, Hurst Performance president said in a release. "We are privileged to honor Hurst's history and again build cars that are fun to collect and even more fun to drive."

As you know by now, the Mustang is powered by a supercharged engine tweaked into developing 435+ horsepower and over 400 lb.-ft of torque. The engine tweaks are complemented by Magnaflow custom-tuned stainless steel performance exhaust, Hurst-tuned coil over shocks, springs and sway bars.

The Pace Car rides on 20-inch Hurst polished, forged aluminum wheels with gold painted center spokes, shoed in BF Goodrich g-Force KDW tires. To set itself apart from other tuned Mustangs out there, the Hurst Mustang brings painted gold racing stripes and official "Pace Car" logos on white and a Hurst T-handle shifter for both manual and automatic transmission versions.

"Hurst and BFGoodrich both have wonderful rich histories in all forms of racing," Nate Shelton, Hurst chairman added. "We are proud to partner BFGoodrich to once again set the pace for others to follow and give something back to a deserving organization."

The Mustang is available for order as of now, with deliveries expected to begin in October. The price of the Pace Car tweaks have been set at $36,450 on top of the price for the Mustang itself. Orders can be place by following this link.
