Assuming that you’ve assembled the pistons correctly and put them in their corresponding cylinders, you’ll now need to couple them with the crankshaft and put the bearings back.

- Make sure you don’t scratch the journals or chip the counterweights as it will make for an unbalanced spinning resulting in vibrations and increased wear.
- Carefully wipe all journals with a clean soft cotton cloth
- Same goes for all the bearings
- Don’t forget about the seals at both ends of the crankshaft
- Carefully put the crankshaft in its place and secure its position with the corresponding bearings caps
- Same goes for the connecting rods
- Check a repair manual to see how tight the bolts need to be. You'll also need a torque wrench
