How Nissan Transfers GT-R Tech to Juke-R

While we are to officially call the Nissan Juke a crossover for the city, that does not mean that it’s anything more than a compact car that’s the size of a hatchback. Given the fact that the supercar is 183.3 inches (4656 mm) long, while the crossover only measures 162.8 inches (4135 mm), it must have been one heck of a tight squeeze.
The second video of the Juke-R project has been released, and it tells us abut the challenges faced by the engineers. The four-wheel drive system had to be shortened in order to make it fit into the shorter wheelbase of the Juke. This also have to take control of the torque vectoring that is provided in order to best deliver the power to the road.

The project is expected to be up and running next month, just in time for a debut at the 2011 Tokyo Motor Show. The third video will show us how they actually start building the car, and we can’t wait for it to be released.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
