Cadillac's modern-day Escalade family comprises several models, joined by an electric version that's based on a different platform. As for the most exciting member, it adds the V suffix and features Blackwing power.
Shared with the CT5-V Blackwing, the supercharged 6.2-liter V8 motor produces 682 horsepower (692 ps/503 kW). The thrust is rated at 653 lb-ft (885 Nm), and Cadillac says the Escalade-V needs 4.4 seconds from zero to sixty mph (0 to 97 kph).

Stuff such as the adaptive air suspension and electronic limited-slip differential are on deck, alongside numerous tech and comfort gizmos. The 38-inch curved OLED display is also included, and so are the head-up display, rear seat entertainment system, navigation with augmented reality, massaging front seats with heating and ventilation, sunroof, and many safety features.

Even the average Joe could tell you that the Cadillac Escalade is a pricey product, and since it tops the family in terms of performance, so is the Escalade-V. For a 2024 model year, interested parties will have to cough out a minimum of $152,295. That's before factoring in the destination charge, options, and dealer fees. So, how much do you think a used copy in search of a new home costs?

The answer lies only a few mouse clicks away, as there are several Cadillac Escalade-V punchy SUVs listed for grabs. One of them is this black example. A 2023 model with a single owner in the papers and 1,625 miles (2,615 km) on the clock, it has a Black Raven exterior paint finish, a Jet Black interior, ceramic coating, paint protection film up front, the Super Cruise option, two keys, the usual lecture, and a clean Carfax title.

Since it is a used copy, albeit one that hasn't been driven that much, you might expect it to cost less than the official MSRP of the 2024 model, right? Well, the second-hand market for vehicles has started to stabilize, but it is still a bit wild. As a result, you will have to cough out a lot of money to buy this Cadillac Escalade-V. The listing on Garage Kept Motors reveals that you can make it yours in exchange for $169,900, which is roughly $10k more than what it would cost new.

Is it a good deal, considering that you will skip the waiting list and drive it home after you sign your name on the dotted line? Is it a bad deal when factoring that you might be better off with a brand-new copy, albeit one that doesn't come with an insane dealer markup? You be the judge of it, and while you decide whether it's worth your hard-earned cash, you may want to access the ad here to see it in even more images.
