Could this bee the Pajun? Could this be what the Panamera would look like if had a bad cold and got sick? No, it’s just an electric vehicle from Taiwan called the Avant GT.
It was shown in Shanghai, and it’s easy to see why the automotive world would take notice for all the wrong reason: it’s a copycat and a bad one at that, it’s got an unremarkable name, but most of all it’s made by a consortium of companies that don’t know very much about making cars.

The design belongs to the Studio X-Gene, which sounds a bit like a cartoon character, the financial backing came from Altair ProductDesign, while the technology was brought by Delta Electronics, Wistron and Qisda.

We’re not much concerned with the actual car itself, or what kind of electric powertrain it’s got. After all, even bigger companies with experience like Tesla and Fisker manage to screw things up a bit sometimes.

What we’re interested in is why this car has a typical Porsche bumper and headlights that look like they came of the old Cayenne.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
