Honda TT Legends team has concluded their tests in France and are now looking forward to the 2013 season.
Michael Rutter is still not riding, after his crash in early March at the Dunlop Mireval test track, which caused a small tibia fracture. He's waiting for a more extensive recovery before hopping aboard his machine again.
The other three riders, McGuinness, Dunlop and Andrews, attended the Magny Cours tests and managed to get better acquainted to the 2013-spec CBR1000RR racing beasts. John McGuinness, Michael Dunlop and Michael Rutter will be riding the Honda TT Legends superbikes in the 2013 TT, and will also be joining Simon Andrews in the Endurance World Championship.
Just like in the rest of Europe, rain and weather were not at their best for motorcycle racing, and the team mechanics' efforts could not be exploited to the max, much to the three riders' frustration.
There were no official timings in this last test, but Team Manager Glen Richards is happy with the end of the winter tests. “Obviously the weather has held us back a bit, but we’ve made some good progress all the same. The crew have done a lot of work on the chassis and electronics, and although there were no official times, by our own timing the riders are all within half a second of each other which is a good place to be at this stage”, he added.
