Back in 2010, Honda had a dream, one which resulted in the creation of the worlds first compact hybrid sports coupe... hatchback. Honestly, we don’t really know what it is, but it’s small, looks good and has barely enough room for two people in the back. Despite its flaws, the CR-Z is very likable.
Now it seems Honda decided to spite things up a bit, with a light cosmetic makeover for the hybrid coupe. From the only photo released of the complete exterior, we can tell you the CR-Z has a simpler grille with mesh instead of the three bars. The headlights have LEDs and... that’s about it. The little hybrid isn’t the most popular car in the world, so the makeover budget was small.

Without going into exact figures and specs, Honda says they’ve found more power for both the 1.5-liter petrol engine and the electric motor, all without adding to your fuel bill. Currently, they offer a combined 122 hp, and we wouldn’t be surprised if this was increased to about 135 hp. Either way, we’ll know for sure when the updated CR-Z is shown at the Paris Motor Show.

autoevolution will be attending the Paris Motor Show 2012, so stay tuned for some real up close and personal shots of the vehicles, as well as for first-hand details of the motorized contraptions presented at the event.
