The American consumer might be the answer to all the problems Honda is having with the strong yen and the flooding in Thailand. Their facelifts are nothing to shout about, a few colors here and a fresh set of wheels there, but the Japanese automaker might be hoping for increased sales.
We say that because Honda has announced a $84 million investment in its Lincoln, Alabama assembly plant, to make more engines and light trucks. This will create another 100 jobs at the plant and will result in a production increase of 40,000 units from the current 300,000. Automotive News says their move is justified by a market increase of 10 percent through October this year.

Honda’s Lincoln plant currently makes the Odyseey, Pilot and Ridgeline, but the Acura RDX is likely to also join the roster.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
