Honda Fit Gets Harpooned in Bizzare Chinese Crash

After 130 years of evolution, cars have gone pretty far in terms of safety, whether we’re talking about active or passive features. Nonetheless, there’s no safety feature in the world that could’ve saved the Honda Fit in these images from being harpooned.

Sure, the safety glass used for certain armoured vehicles would’ve had serious chances of handling the task, but this little Honda couldn’t take the weight of the armour anyway, so there’s no point in going down that path.

Construction sites are something you see oftenly in China and it was one of these locations that hosted the grotesque accident. The Fit was travelling through a construction site located in the city of Wuhan, in the Hubei Province.

An iron pipe fell from a serious height, aligning itself in such a way that it penetrated the car in what appears to be both a fortunate and an unfortunate manner. Yes, it did fall right through the windscreen, touching the center console and going into the floor panel.

However, nobody was injured in the incident. The driver, who was alone in the car at the time, was shocked to see the pipe penetrating the structure just inches away from him.

We have to explain the area where the car was being driven when it got struck is marked as a public road, not some part of the site.

Who knows? Perhaps this was a sign the man was wearing one too many aftermarket items in his Fit, from the seat covers, to the array of electronic devices that sit on the floor.
