Honda makes a Civic wagon and a hot Civic Type R wagon, not both. Fortunately, the Brits have managed to combine the two into one family hauler that could set Nurburgring lap records. It's got that certain je ne sais quoi that the Nissan Juke-R also possessed.
Unfortunately, Middle Eastern oil tycoons don't love hot wagons like we do, so there's no chance of a limited production model occurring.

But let's not beat around the suspension bushing; a UK racing team called Synchro Motorsport has made a one-off Honda Civic Type R. It's black, it's wide, and we'd even go as far as to call it beautiful.

We hate to state the obvious here, but Synchro took a regular Civic Wagon that's been available since 2014 and installed everything that would make a Type R. That includes the engine, obviously, the gearbox, wheels, brakes, and lots of body cladding.

From the front, we notice the wider bumper that fits together with its accompanying fender flares and chin spoiler.

Things get a little trickier at the back, as the Type R wing doesn't fit the Tourer because it doesn't have the lines of a notchback. Instead, they opted for a regular spoiler and installed the aggressive rear diffuser. The exhaust system probably had to be stretched a little, but it's something a racing team can tackle with ease.

Unfortunately, we have no photos of the interior, where a Type R boasts black and red seats, red stitching throughout, and an R button that sharpens everything up.

For 2015, Honda Yuasa Racing switched to a 350 hp Type R hatch in the BTCC. But a year before that, it used a white and red Tourer specially designed for the track that you can check out in the gallery below.

We hate leaving you guys with such little footage, so we are going to end this story with a sort of Civic Type R wagon from Japan. It's a Honda Orthia from the 90s that's been kitted with an EK Civic face and Type R tuning bits from that era.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
