Honda Canada Imports Fit from China Instead of Japan

Yes, we’re going to tell you yet again that the strong yen stands a chance of completely crushing the Japanese auto industry if nothing is done soon. To deal with the problem, Honda Canada has started importing one particular model from China instead of Japan, according to AutoNews.
Starting this month, Chinese-made Fit subcompacts are being sold, and this could be just a sign of things to come. Honda also hopes this will also provide them with some margin of profit in a market that’s offers very little. Soon, the

"The yen has been getting stronger and stronger," Jerry Chenkin, executive vice president of Honda Canada, told The Times this week. "The exposure of the yen exchange rate is of concern to Honda and other manufacturers."
