Holden Introduces V-Series Redline Edition Models

Holden is aiming to strengthen its position in the performance vehicle segment of the market, as the company has introduced the Redline editions for the V-Series models.

The Redline Edition Calais V-Series and SS V-Series sedan, Sportwagon and UTE will be slotted at the top of Holden’s updated VE Series II range, which will be introduced by the end of the current month.

The Redline Edition models have been created for enthusiast drivers and come to offer serious braking power and top handling that match their beefy 6.0 liter V8 engines. The cars use a racing-inspired FE3 super sports suspension, as well as a Brembo high performance braking system. The vehicles ride on exclusively forged and polished alloy rims that come in a 19-inch size.

Holden stresses the fact that all Redline Editions are capable of running on bio-ethanol (E85), an emission-cutting fuel that is already used by the country’s V8 Supercars.

The special package is completed by the addition of a color satellite navigation system and a rear view camera as standard equipment for V-Series models, which come with a multimedia touch screen Holden-iQ system.

We know the performance enthusiasts who drive Holden sports vehicles enjoy the way the engine performs with the exhilarating V8 engine performance of our sport models,” said John Elsworth, Holden Executive Director of Sales, Marketing and Aftersales. “We know that their interest goes beyond straight-line power and torque though. They’re looking for a satisfying overall driving experience with superior chassis dynamics.
