In 2015, Land Rover will stop making the Defender. From the emissions to the crash safety and the spartan accommodations, all the cards are stacked against it. A replacement is being considered, but won’t be ready until at least 2019.
But you just can’t help feel sorry for the Defender. It has conquered Africa and the Amazon river. It’s a pickup, a tank, an ambulance and a dune buggy, and all it really needs is a good marketing team.

Why can the G-Class survive and evolve so well, while the Defender stays humble, stays basic and stays unnoticed.

CarThrottle has just released a short and sweet clip about why we’ll miss the Land Rover Defender in 2015. It’s the only clip on the internet with The Queen of Britain, Lara Croft and Grand Theft Auto. Watch it!

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
