They might have lost one million-dollar worth of Ranger Rover cars that were specially created for the newest James Bond installment - Spectre, but it appears that Land Rover and Jaguar have plenty of other cars from where these came from. The two British carmakers have announced today the official line-up to be featured in the movie.
The 24th James Bond adventure will see the Jaguar C-X75, Ranger Rover Sport SVR and Defender Big Foot, all of which have been provided by Jaguar Land Rover Special Operations. Jaguar has confirmed earlier rumors we already wrote about, that the C-X75 will be the villain’s ride of choice. It will feature in a spectacular car chase sequence through Rome alongside the Aston Martin DB10, driven by Daniel Craig.

The C-X75 cars used for the scenes have been built in collaboration with Williams Advanced Engineering facility in Oxfordshire, England. Other scenes who have already been filmed include the one shot in Austria involving some heavily modified versions of the Land Rover Defender & Ranger Rover Sport SVR. The Ranger Rover Sport SVR is the fastest and most powerful Land Rover vehicle ever made.

According to Land Rover, the Big Foots were manufactured by Special Operations with huge 37-inch diameter off-road tires to tackle extreme terrain. The vehicle also features a bespoke suspension system and enhanced body protection.

As you might know already, it’s not the first time Jaguar and Land Rover collaborate with the James Bond franchise. The latest was back in 2012, when the rugged Defender 110 Double Cab Pick Up was driven by field agent Eve Moneypenny in the opening sequence of Skyfall.
