Here’s How Getting a Volvo XC60 for Free on Jimmy Kimmel Live Show Feels Like

As opposed to other car makers willingly to do their best and create amazing ads for the Super Bowl event this weekend, Volvo decided to take a small detour and change its approach. The company had people tweeting who they believe should get a new Volvo XC60 from which the automaker would later choose five winners. Jimmy Kimmel also got one, so he could promote the campaign on his show. Instead of a random contest, he went for a pretty cool surprise gift involving a car wash.
Volvo Interception is a socially-driven alternative to the campaign of yesteryear. The campaign started at 6:30 p.m. on Sunday. Whenever any car commercial airs throughout the big game, people were able to tweet with the hashtag #VolvoContest to tell Volvo who they think deserves a brand new XC60.

All eligible tweets are to receive a response from Volvo, and each person must then tell why his or her nominee was chosen. Five people will be selected by judges and will receive a brand new car.

In order to promote the campaign, Volvo also gave Jimmy Kimmel a car to give away to a person that actually needs one. So, he took the white XC60 at his reportedly cousin who owns a car wash.

The point was they would gift a customer in a unique way, while the old car would go in for cleaning, the new car would go out on the other side. Since we’re pretty sure any of you fellows would enjoy that, we figured it would be nice sharing the clip with you, just in case you missed it this weekend. It’s quite amusing, to say the least.
