If the twin-turbo HPE700 Corvette Stingray doesn't rock your boat, then Hennessey has a supercharged alternative to fit your demand. The blown Vette is also a tad more powerful than the turbocharged offering, boasting 610 RWHP and 557 lb-ft (755 Nm) of torque.
That amounts to a mere 90 horsepower loss somewhere between the crankshaft and rear wheels, a figure the Texas-based tuner should be pretty proud of. To put those specs into perspective, the 2015 Chevrolet Corvette Z06 churns out 650 horses and 650 lb-ft (881 Nm) of torque.

So what bits and bobs did Hennessey use to pump up the standard 2014 Chevrolet Corvette Stingray? First and foremost, engineers strapped a blower atop the 6.2-liter LT1 V8 mill, which normally offers 455 horsepower. But a supercharger alone isn't enough to handle that sort of oomph, so the HPE700 has also been fitted with a custom heavy-duty camshaft and high flow cylinder heads.

The mod list continues with hi-performance gaskets and fluids, a custom tuned ECU unit, a better air induction system and that kind of sums up every major hardware upgrade of this blown Vette. On the styling front, the HPE700 kit comes as standard with serialized dash and engine plaques for added authenticity, special exterior badging, embroidered floor mats and carbon fiber door sills. Last but not least, Hennessey also offers a reassuring 36,000-mile/3-year limited warranty.

Customers that want a bit more customization are offered a wide choice of optional extras, including a CarbonAero front and rear lip spoiler, Hennessey H10 monoblock wheels, Michelin Pilot Super Sport rubber, Brembo carbon ceramic brakes, Penske adjustable suspension and various cabin upgrades. Although price is only available upon request, we recommend you'd better hurry with that chequebook if you want one.

Hennessey Performance will build only 100 units of the HPE700 Supercharged Vette. Needless to say, expect to pay a thick stack of green bills over the $51,995 MSRP of the 2014 Chevrolet C7 Corvette Stingray.
