Hennessey Velociraptor HPE600 Hits the Dyno

If the 411 horsepower and 434 lb-ft (588 Nm) of torque 6.2-liter big-bore V8 mill powering the Ford F-150 SVT Raptor isn't punchy enough for some of you, then Hennessey Performance has a something that might satisfy your need for grunt.

This is where the Hennessey Performance Velociraptor HPE600 comes in. Simply put, the Texas-based tuner takes the already nuts SVT super crew cap pickup truck and supercharges it to produce a whopping 600 horsepower at the crank.

That ultimately translates to 425 horsepower at the wheel and 412 lb-ft (558 Nm) of tire-shredding torque available as low as 3,500 rpm. Without any shadow of doubt, this is nuclear-grade firepower shoehorned in an ultra-capable off-road machine that is both comfortable and practical for everyday use. Heck, you could even compete in the Baja 500 with it if you're feeling brave enough.

According to Hennessey Performance, the tuning package drops the standard Ford F-150 Raptor's 0 to 60 mph time from a respectable 7.5 to a pretty brisk 5.9 seconds. Needless to say, this creation is certain to give Mercedes-Benz G63 AMG and Range Rover Supercharghed owners a run for their money.

If you wonder how this monster sounds on the dyno, then scroll down, press play and turn the volume up to 11.
