According to the latest rumors, Gran Turismo 7 could be heading to PC this year. While "take it with a grain of salt" is still very much the expression of the day, these rumors could be backed by an older Nvidia leak.
Before getting into the nitty-gritty of the latest update, which arrived on January 24, let's first put on our tin foil hats and see why there's quite a high chance for Polyphony Digital's Gran Turismo 7 to hit PCs this year.

Exhibit A: in 2021, there was a huge Nvidia leak where more than a handful of PlayStation-exclusive games were spotted to arrive on PC. From that "manifesto," a lot of titles fulfilled that PC port prophecy: God of War, Helldivers 2, Horizon Forbidden West, Ratchet & Clank, Returnal, Sackboy: A Big Adventure, and Uncharted: Legacy of Thieves Collection.

What still remains uncertain are Demon's Souls, Ghost of Tsushima, and, of course, Gran Turismo 7. In other words, the leak was spot on. Obviously, Bloodborne escapes the rumor mill yet again, filling the hearts of fans with disappointment. Now, the even more exciting thing is that recently, a completely separate rumor mill started to turn.

This allegedly comes via an employee from Sony-owned studio, Nixxes. The studio has successfully ported other PlayStation exclusives like Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered and Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales.

The supposed leaker wrote: "Nixxes employee here, I know of some Sony games coming to PC this year:
TLOU Part 2
God of War Ragnarok
Demon's Souls
Ghost of Tsushima
Gran Turismo 7
All slated for this year. DS and GOT taking so long because it's the devs first time making PC ports. Spider-Man 2 will come in early 2025. Sony is also discussing porting earlier games e.g. infamous Second Son to PC as well."

Now, if we overlap the Nvidia leak with this one, it all fits together like a puzzle from Uncharted. PC gamers could be in for some sweet, sweet treats. Let's hope they all actually arrive this year. But while we wait, let's see what Gran Turismo 7's Update 1.42 brings for console players.

First, we have the breathtaking BVLGARI Aluminum Vision Gran Turismo, a digital concept inspired by the 1998 BVLGARI Aluminum watch. The famous Suzuki Jimny (2018) is also making an appearance.

Then, there's yet another absolutely gorgeous ride, the Genesis X Gran Berlinetta Vision Gran Turismo Concept. Not only does it look like an orchestra on wheels, but it packs quite a punch as well. The X Gran Berlinetta concept is equipped with a Lambda II V6 engine, electrically assisted by Genesis E-SC technology. The V6 alone can produce 870 hp and 790 ft-lb (1071 Nm) of torque, but in total, it outputs 1,071 hp with 986 ft-lb or 1,337 Nm of torque.

You'll also find extra menus in the Cafe section, new World Circuit events, and some fresh additions to the Scapes.

All things considered, one thing Gran Turismo 7 lacks is ray tracing during actual gameplay. Hopefully, Polyphony Digital will tune the graphics when it inevitably comes to PC, so it especially uses this amazing-looking technology.

There's nothing better looking in a racing game than ray-traced global illumination and reflections. Just look at how superb Cyberpunk 2077 looks since CD Projekt Red introduced the "Overdrive" setting. Granted, it's more advanced path tracing, but you get the idea.
