Tiny homes on wheels and the great Australian landscape seem to be a match made in heaven. Self-contained, off-grid houses on wheels are one of the ways to fully enjoy Australia's incredible natural environment while also dealing with its inherent challenges. Aussie tiny house builders are true artists, creating some of the most inspirational concepts in the industry of mobile living. The Bowen tiny is a perfect example of that.
Bowen is part of the Home Town Series developed by Lifestyle Cabins unplugged, a tiny house builder based in Queensland, Australia. A luxury dwelling in every sense of the word, this beautifully-designed THOW combines premium, ultra-modern amenities with a sustainable, eco-friendly approach.

Almost 8.5 meters long (27.8 feet), Bowen is spacious enough to include a classic main-floor configuration with a living room, a large kitchen, and a luxurious bathroom. The 4.3 meters (14.1 feet) height results in a beautiful loft bedroom, as well as extra comfort throughout the entire home. Bowen feels remarkably bright and luminous and was designed to take full advantage of the natural light. Up to four people could live here permanently in full comfort, thanks to the wide, clutter-free living spaces.

Like many Australian-designed tiny homes, Bowen reflects a close connection to the outdoors. The sliding glass doors and massive windows turn one end of the house, which is dedicated to the living room, into an area that seems to be indoors and outdoors at the same time. The oversized, framed window at the rear ensures long, unobstructed sight lines. The rest of the windows are based on a similar principle, and their strategic placement also ensures optimal airflow.

Thanks to these windows, the living room is surrounded by gorgeous views and flooded with natural light. The convertible leather sofa bed can provide extra accommodation for two. The kitchen is packed with high-quality appliances, including a four-burner cooktop, microwave, built-in dishwasher, and a stainless steel exhaust hood. The built-in microwave oven and retro designer fridge are part of the extras for an additional price.

Storage-wise, multiple cupboards, and overhead cabinets offer generous space for cooking items and supplies. One of the greatest additions to this part of the house is the foldable breakfast part, sitting opposite the countertop. Together with a couple of bar stools, it creates the ideal dining nook for at least two people – it takes no space at all and comes with great views thanks to the large front window.

The bathroom is worthy of a luxury resort on wheels. One of the top features is the full-size tiled shower cabin. A separate storage area keeps small and large items neatly organized for zero clutter. The modern vanity, with contrasting black fittings, adds a touch of elegance.

Thanks to the custom staircase leading to the loft area, more storage is available. It's common for tiny house stairs to come with built-in storage, and Bowen is no exception. A discrete railing adds safety without obstructing the view.

Bowen's loft bedroom is the cherry on top. Unlike similar rooms that can feel highly uncomfortable and closed up, this bedroom is surprisingly airy and luminous. The owners get plenty of space to walk around the bed, even though it's king-sized, which is always a plus for these types of rooms.

They also get to take in the lovely views as soon as they wake up and enjoy the fresh air at all times. There's enough space left for a couple of nightstands, and a custom separation wall provides extra storage. Best of all? Bowen's bedroom flaunts not one but two luxury Velux skylights and remote-controlled, solar-powered blinds.

To connect even more with the outdoors, the Bowen tiny can add a spacious deck, perfect for welcoming family and friends on a sunny day. Add to this a gorgeous pergola, and you have a stunning home that connects you with nature. The Bowen tiny can also easily go off-grid. The off-grid package includes a 5 kW solar power system with an inverter and battery storage, a large water tank, and a composting toilet.

The standard version is fully self-contained, meaning it's fitted with plumbing for the kitchen and bathroom, electricity, and a hot water system. A split air-conditioning system and a designer ceiling fan ensure the perfect ambiance in any weather. The house is also fully insulated and watertight. The rustic-looking exterior features Weathertex Selflok Ecogrove Natural cladding with green certification.

The Bowen tiny comes on a tri-axle trailer with power brakes and is currently available for immediate delivery. Those who happen to live within 100 km (62 miles) of the Lifestyle Cabins unplugged's facility in Redland Bay can have the beautiful Bowen delivered to them free of charge.

Right now, the Bowen tiny is available for AUD 125,900 (just under $86,000) with AUD 10,000 ($6,830) worth of extras. This gorgeous home on wheels with a loft bedroom is impressive even without these extras, but if you add all of them, it becomes a truly luxurious abode. At the same time, the Bowen tiny’s essence is a strong connection with the environment through its design and through the use of natural materials.
