Gorgeous $12 Million Compound Comes With 50-Car Garage and Its Own Dyno

Most city boys and girls wouldn’t even dream of trading the bustle and noise for a rural home. But this one just might get them to change their mind, especially if they happen to be consummate car collectors.

It’s a gorgeous piece of real estate in Big Sky, Montana, at the foot of Yellow Mountain. It’s not the remote location and the wild scenery around that make for strong selling points (though they do help), but the fact that the mansion is more of a compound, offering incredible amenities allowing you to live there self-sufficiently for at least a while.

The property at 2100 N Ford Road, currently listed with Engel & Volkers - Big Sky for $12 million, is like a millionaire’s idea of getting his or her own little village spread over 20 acres of picturesque land. It comprises the main building, offering 4 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms, an oversized two-vehicle garage, another structure that houses an underground garage, and a separate building for staff. Because you don’t want to share your living quarters with the staff when you’re playing at this high a level.

The house itself is just what you’d expect from a chalet in Montana. It’s flush with rich wood, expansive glazing to allow in natural light and offer unobstructed, 360-degree views of the mountains, stone, and metal. It’s cozy but in a majestic, state manor kind of way. You get a private gym and spacious walk-in wardrobes, a children’s room with bunk beds, at least a couple of kitchens (one formal and the other less so), and various lounge and relaxation areas.

The house alone would be worth an investment, especially since it’s situated in a gated community. But it’s the car facilities on site that make it perfect for a collector with some 50 vehicles to store someplace else. As noted above, aside from the garage, there’s an underground garage with 50 bays, a maintenance room that includes washing facilities, a two-post lift, and a dyno. There’s also an outdoor washer, in case you want some fresh air. Assuming you would ever wash your own cars.

Also here, there’s a 1,000-gallon (3,785-liter) gas pump and a cistern for an additional 15,000 gallons (56,781 liters), a Tesla charter, a 150kW generator, and quarters for all the staff you’d need to do maintenance on your fleet. A detached building offers storage for a tractor.

Another structure is a separate guest house, and it comes with an RV hookup. Seriously, if you have the millions to spare, you could move to Montana and start your own cult in your own little, incredibly fancy, and gorgeous village.
