Google made history recently when they managed to obtain the first license for a self driving car, in Nevada. Now, they are adding the Lexus RX450h to their line-up, in order to expand their possibilities when it comes to different types of terrain and road types.
However, they have already racked up a very impressive 300,000 miles (480,000 km) of completely autonomous driving - a very impressive feat, we must admit! Now, with the addition of the Lexus SUV, they will be able to compliment those miles with not only asphalt, but dirt, gravel and even snow-covered roads.

At the rate at which this technology is advancing, it’s only a matter of time before it becomes available, as an optional extra, on some of the more expensive and high tech cars in years to come. This technology has endless advantages and once it is tested and perfected, until it is all but perfect, it will make the lives of millions of people much easier.
