The all-new 2014 Chevrolet Spark EV can save its owner about $9,000 in fuel over five years compared to the average vehicle, General Motors said today, while releasing EPA-estimated fuel economy.
And that’s because the all-electric city car returned an EPA-estimated combined fuel economy of 119 MPGe and a driving range of 82 miles per charge, which makes the Spark EV “the most efficient EV in its class” the automaker adds.
Need some advice on how to spend such saving? GM says you could buy yourself an airfare for an around-the-world trip, a Viking outdoor grill, 6 pairs of Google Glasses, 60 Nike+ FuelBands or 6,425 Starbucks Tall Coffees.
“Spark EV is one of the most affordable EVs on the market, with one of the lowest costs of ownership of any new vehicle out there,” said Cristi Landy, director of Chevrolet small car and electrified vehicle marketing. “Spark EV is a great city car that rewards frequent use by being fun, efficient and affordable.”
