Italian maker Givi is better-known for the storage solutions it offers, but you should also know that they also offer a wide range of helmets. One of their full-face models has just been revamped but the price remained in the sweet spot, making this lid a great choice for new riders on a relatively tight budget.
If anything, we'd certainly love to see Givi's creative department coming up with better names, as "50.4" is anything but attractive. Sure, the Sniper suffix is a much better choice, but for crying out loud, Givi could use better names for a lot of their products.

A fairly lightweight full-face helmet is a nifty choice for a first lid

One of the nicest things about the 50.4 Sniper is that the lid is fairly lightweight, despite not being manufactured from carbon fiber. The "technopolymer" shell adds strength but still keeps the helmet in the 1,450 grams (3.2 lb) range, and this includes the internal sun visor.

It looks like Givi redesigned the rear spoiler for enhanced aerodynamics and also modified a bit the ventilation system, which includes a chin vent, two upper intakes and a rear extractor.

The anallergic liner is removable and washable, as in any decent helmet, and the visor is Pinlock-ready (lens not included). Even more, customers can also choose clear, tinted and mirror visors.

Givi 50.4 Sniper is supplied with a removable breathguard and has a micrometric chin strap. The lid is available in sizes XS through XL in both flat and racing color schemes, and we saw it online for €115 ($125) or so, which is a really nice price if you're not too picky.
