The internet is loaded with all sorts of memes trying to serve as marriage tests. Spend long enough on the car-related area of the world wide web and you'll definitely come across one of these memes telling you to keep your SO forever if she shares the bathtub with those new wheels, just to keep them squeaky clean.
While this might seem a piece of amusement and nothing more, some girlfriends take things literally. We've just come across such an example and wanted to share the story, one that involves a Miata, with you.

As many other NA (this is the first generation) Miata owners, Redditor idownvotethenread, who brought us this story, has installed a number of mods on his Mazda.

The same goes for the various battle scars any tracked Miata gets after reaching a certain age. You know, the little stuff, such as a rock chip here and there. The man's MX-5, a 1996 model, couldn't have missed these.

When the guy received a Hotwheels version of his four-wheeled pride and joy from his girlfriend, he was swiped off his feet when he noticed the resemblance between the actual car and the toy version.

Now, the NA Miata is a standard Hotwheels car, so you can buy one off the shelf. However, the owner's SO paid close attention to the specific details of the MX-5 in question, mirroring these on the toy.

To be more specific, we're talking about the missing paint on the front apron, the blacked-out side of the rear end, as well as the green gear shifter.

Well, when your SO comes up with such a surprise, things get a bit more serious. And given all the compromises a Miata girlfriend has to make during her life inside the car, the bonus points for her just keep adding up.
