The new Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition is the latest creation from Swiss watchmaker Girard-Perregaux, resulting from its fruitful partnership with Aston Martin.
Girard-Perregaux was named the Official Watch Partner of Aston Martin Aramco Cognizant F1 Team in 2021, when the British ultra-luxury automaker returned to Formula 1 for the first time in over 60 years, which also coincided with the watchmaker's 230th anniversary.

With a rich heritage in the world of luxury and over 300 years of combined history, the Girard-Perregaux and Aston Martin brands are both synonymous with design excellence and cutting-edge engineering, which makes them a natural pairing.

The collaboration has already birthed five exceptional timepieces spanning several GP collections, with all but one incorporating the British automaker's racing green hue and displaying the two brands' admiration for each other.

The previous timepieces they created together were based on the Swiss watchmaker's historic Laureato models, but their latest co-branded wrist bling brings something new to the table and is set to captivate motorsport and watch enthusiasts alike.

It is based on the classic Girard-Perregaux Bridges collection, which has been a part of the Swiss company's offering since 1867, and is inspired by Aston Martin's sculptural DB12. As the "Neo" designation suggests, the new watch is a contemporary take on Constant Girard's classic design. The iconic three parallel bridges have been redesigned and are also skeletonized, and the new watch is a true contemporary marvel with a sleek appearance that blends beauty and watchmaking expertise.

The Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition foregoes a conventional dial and puts the Caliber GP0840000-2164 inverted movement on full display through an open worked dial that is designed to confer perfect symmetry. This configuration brings components usually found on the back of the watch to the front and allows the wearer and those around to see the two Neo-shaped bridges, which proudly wear Aston Martin's trademark green right on the dial.

The sleek silhouette of the lightweight 45mm titanium cases is a nod to the aerodynamic curves of the new Aston Martin DB12, paying homage to Aston Martin's rich history of making high-performance cars. Other elements that honor the British brand include the micro-rotor, which is engraved with the carmaker's name and reminisces the unique wheel design of the DB12.

Further enhancing the watch's aesthetics are the skeletonized baton-type indexes and luminescent hands that glow a radiant green, two components that also seem to take inspiration from the automotive world's weight-saving principles.

A black rubber strap secures the timepiece to the wearer's wrist via a titanium DLC triple-folding clasp. Its texture resembles fabric, and it also features matching green stitching.

The Girard-Perregaux Neo Bridges Aston Martin Edition is a limited-edition timepiece. Only 250 units will be made, matching the exclusivity of Aston Martin cars. Its release is scheduled for December 2023, and it will be priced at $37,700 USD.
