If you want to buy “freedom for seven” in the next couple of year, Japanese automaker Nissan has something fresh coming that you might want to take a look at. It’s called the Hi-Cross Concept and it made its debut at the Geneva Motor Show today, where we just had our first encounter with the car.
With more glass than a greenhouse, the concept offers more light than anything in the seven-seater segment, and it’s packed with gadgets. Tucked in between the speedometer and rev counter is a compas, that will help you navigate your adventure.

Power for this people mover with soft-roading ambitions comes from a 2.0-liter direct injection petrol engine that offers the performance on par with a 2.5-liter and improved economy, though Nissan did not say by how much.

"Nissan created the crossover segment with Murano and has expanded the genre with top selling cars like Qashqai and Juke. Hi-Cross Concept shows we are not sitting still, resting on our laurels, but exploring ways of cementing our crossover leadership by exploring new ideas," says Andy Palmer, Executive Vice President, Nissan Motor Company.
