Let’s be honest for a second: almost no one pays attention to the standard safety announcement flight attendants make at the beginning of each flight. We all assume it must be interesting stuff, yet we can’t get ourselves to actually listen to the instructions, laid out to us in boring, occasionally unintelligible drone.
Here’s a flight attendant who strives to make the difference and actually get the passengers to listen to what he has to say. His name is Daniel Sandberg and he works for Frontier Airlines and he’s the latest viral star after being dubbed the “world’s funniest flight attendant.”

The scenes in the video at the bottom of the page were actually captured about a couple of weeks ago, on a late-night flight from Orlando to Colorado Springs, by nature photographer Cindy Kuhn. She posted the video to her Facebook and then to YouTube, and it spread like wild fire, getting millions of views as of the time of writing.

If you take 3 minutes of your time to check it out, you will understand why. Here’s a flight attendant who combines humor with useful information, and keeps the passengers listening until the very end, while also entertaining them. He starts off by introducing his 2 colleagues as his wife and his mistress and then continues in the same manner.

He talks about saving “your favorite child” in case of an emergency, of not being permitted back on board after using the emergency exit, of receiving an “itsy bitsy teenie weenie yellow polka-dot bikini” in case the plane turns into a cruise, and how the only smoking allowed on board is when you’re “smoking hot like me.” By the end of the routine, he has the passengers roaring with laughter, which was his intention from the start.

“It was fun to experience something like this first hand, just being there and having such a rare and hilarious moment happen - I felt lucky to be there, considering you normally only see these things in viral videos,” Cindy tells NewsHub of the experience. “The attendant on my next flight has a hard act to follow - if I could I'd request to have Daniel on every one of my flights.”

She says she started filming when she heard Daniel introduce his 2 female colleagues, because she knew this safety announcement would be different. And that it was, and then some.
