BMW seems to be willing to break some sort of record this year, bringing world premiere after world premiere at the Frankfurt Motor Show. After the premiere of the i8 and i3, the F15 X5 was also shown at an auto show for the first time.
Even though we knew everything about the new SAV here on autoevolution's BMW blog, seeing it in real life is an experience that we've been deprived of until now. The Bavarian stand in Hall 11 at Frankfurt is now the home of 3 brand new BMW F15 X5 models.
The one that stands out the most is a Pyrite Brown Metallic xDrive50i. This particular color is reserved for BMW's new X5 for now, as an exclusive Individual feature. Inside the cabin more unique F15 X5 features await, like the Merino Brown leather and the extra 2 seats in the back, making it a 7-seater.
The V8 4.4-liter engine under the bonnet is also updated, now pushing 450 HP and 650 Nm of torque to all 4 wheels via the xDrive intelligent AWD system. Prices for the xDrive50i start at $68,200 in the US.
