3 BMW Models Make the 2014 Car of the Year Candidates' List

As usual, around this time of year, we get the extended list of cars that are up for the Car of the Year award that will be announced around the same time as the Geneva Auto Show takes place.
At the moment, there are 30 cars nominated in the long list, 3 of which are BMWs. That's great news for us, BMW aficionados! The cars listed are the BMW F32 4 Series, BMW i3 and BMW F15 X5.

What else is there to say? All of them are brand new and will take the world by storm and the fact that they are nominated for this esteemed award proves that the work BMW has done in the recent years is about to pay off.

The criteria for making the list, according to caroftheyear.org, is that the cars must be new on sale now or before the year's end, in at least 5 European markets and each should have a prospect of at least 5,000 foreseeable annual sales.

The short list that has only 7 major candidates on it and will also include the winner of the coveted award will be announced by mid December.
