It appears like somebody really screwed up when it comes to customizing the Concours 14 motorcycles Kawasaki sold to police departments. At least this is the only thing coming into mind after reading the huge list of defects associated with an extension of the initial NHTSA recall campaign.
While the first recall saw 44 bike affected by a potential problem of the electrical system, the new campaign (number 13V387000) will bring in 337 units, with Kawasaki mentioning "possibly significantly more" affected bikes.

The whole list has no less than 32 issues and is one of the most comprehensive we've ever seen. It looks like the companies which installed the police-spec upgrades for the Concours 14 machinery will have some explanations to do. You can read the official document in PDF format after the jump.

The recall begun August 21st but we're expecting more bikes to add to this.
