As BMW recently unveiled the M50d version of the new BMW F15 X5, this can hardly be called a spy video. However, we haven’t seen the ultra-diesel powered car on a circuit so far and we had to deal only with photos so far.

So, keeping the image of the new M50d in mind, watching this clip will give you a glimpse into what the new Bimmer is like, a beast. Not too long ago, seeing a diesel on the ‘Ring would cause some people involuntary spasms, as they considered such cars not worthy of the famous circuit.

Times have changed though, and this is no ordinary diesel. This is the world’s most powerful inline 6-cylinder diesel, a tri-turbo configuration that allows the 3-liter engine to produce 381 HP and a whopping 740 Nm (546 lb-ft) of torque.

With this configuration, the new car reaches 100 km/h (62 mph) in 5.3 seconds, an unbelievable time for a diesel SUV.
