It’s big a rough start of the week for millions of Fortnite players around the world, and especially more so for those trapped inside when the soon-to-be proverbial black hole dropped from the sky and shut everything down. But luckily, it is all over.
On Tuesday, October 15, Fortnite Chapter 2 hit the Internet, restoring smiles upon millions of faces. All the jokes of the previous day, good or bad, were quickly forgotten. Including Elon Musk’s attempt to take the blame, again, for ruining the lives of more people than we can count, by saying he bought the entire game and shut it down.

He could have, probably, but he didn’t, just like he did not do it last year, when the joke initially popped up.

So, the new Fortnite is here, following one of the smartest launch campaigns the industry has seen in ages. And that basically means a whole new map to explore and fight for, new vehicles, new weapons and new game modes.

First off, the way to get into the game. Like all battle royale games, Fortnite too uses a special vehicle to get the players onto the map. In this case, we’re talking about a funky-looking flying bus that was the starting point of millions of battles. And it will continue to do so, as the bus remains.

Then, we get a boat we can use to throw ourselves at one another, if by chance we don’t choose the other novelty-vehicle, if they can be called that, pogo sticks.

In the weapons department, the new version of the game adds variants for the scoped AR, sniper, shotgun and RPGs, but also a brand new semi-automatic pistol. Oh, and now you can blow out gas stations too, provided you come across one in this still pretty much wild version of the island map.
