Professional racing driver Ryan Tureck slammed his car’s rear end into a retaining wall and lost a wheel during a practice session at Formula Drift Round 1 in Long Beach.
Pulling a successful drift on a narrow street with concrete walls on its sides is pretty hard even for a pro, but doing it in tandem with another car is just hardcore.

So, as Ryan was pulling a nice skid in his Scion FR-S being closely followed by another Scion tC, he miscalculated his entry speed or angle in a bend, resulting in a rear end crash with the retaining wall. His right rear wheel came off in a split second, leaving him no choice but to announce the crew and ‘admire’ the damage.

A rather interesting fact is that the rims were actually made to break at spoke level in a crash, so that most of the force is absorbed to leave other important suspension parts undamaged.
