GM announced on Tuesday that it would cut its Facebook advertising budget, as the carmaker didn’t find this an effective way of attracting customers. Well, it seems that Ford begs to differ, with the company today explaining that it wants to increase its advertising efforts on Facebook.
Ford even released a Tweet that was aimed at GM, saying that ““It’s all about the execution. Our Facebook ads are effective when strategically combined with engaging content & innovation.”
For the sake of comparison, we’ll tell you that while Ford has over 1.5 million fans on Facebook, GM only comes with over 378,000. Facebook released a regulatory filing on Wednesday, explaining that it would ad 84 million shares, worth up to $3.2 billion to its future IPO.
