With the Internet being populated by more and more renderings portraying tricked-out cars, one might wonder what the connection between this pixel play and the real world is. Well, the Ford Mustang GT that brought us here delivers a brilliant example of this.
We're looking at a build imagined by NASCAR Cup Series driver Ryan Blaney and photographer Larry Chen, with this set to make its debut next month at SEMA (the Vegas venue opens its doors on November 5).

Now, before getting into the details into the build, you should know that it all started with a set of renderings, which came from digital artist Khyzyl Saleem, whose creations we featured on multiple occasions - in fact, thanks to Larry's Instagram post below, you can easily check out the differences between the pixel real and the actual car.

This will be a giveaway car, which means that the winner of the sweepstakes will probably get to drive it on the street quite a lot. As such, the said digital artist couldn't turn to his normal eye candy and had to rely mostly on the livery of the 'Stang to draw attention.

And what a set of colors this is - the livery of this Mustang GT is inspired from those of the 1966 Ford GT40 Mk IIs that grabbed a 1-2-3 victory at the 24 Hours of Daytona race.

Of course, the artist simply couldn't help but slam the car a little more in his renders, among others.

Then we have the turbofan wheels, with this being a motorsport-derived solutions that, when functional, sucks air from under the car, thus generating downforce and cooling the brakes. Note that this Blue Oval toy actually features turbofan covers for its 20-inch Fifteen52 Podium Super Touring wheels.

The 5.0-liter V8 of the muscle car gained a Roush supercharger pushing things to 700 hp and 610 lb-ft, while the list of tech updates also includes a MagnaFlow exhaust, Wilwood Performance brakes and ST Suspension XTA coilovers.

As for the build itself, this was handled by Los Angeles-based Galpin Auto Sports, who is well known for its Mustang projects.

Here is my 2019 SEMA car! A big shout-out to my bro @the_kyza for the help on the concept and the render. This was my first ever American car build and I was told that I can pretty much do whatever I wanted, but it had to be street legal, because this is a giveaway car and you can actually win it. It's 6mt and it has a Roush Supercharger putting out 700hp. Click the link in my profile to sign up for a chance to win. No purchase necessary. Thanks again to my friends at @moneylionracing, @galpinautosports and @roushperformance for all your help on this build. Another SEMA build complete! I had the absolute pleasure of helping my bro @larry_chen_foto out with a livery & Turbofan design for his 2019 SEMA car. - - Larry came to me with the idea of re-inventing and adding my own style to a livery that graced the 24hr Daytona winning Ford GT40 MKII from 1966.This was the outcome, a modern twist that seemed to work really well the Advan link on the car, and im pretty happy with the outcome! - - Massive thanks Larry for allowing me to be a part of this build, and a huge thanks to for bringing my Turbofan idea to life! Not to mention @vaderwerks for wrapping the thing! - - This car will be on the @galpinautosports booth during SEMA, and I believe YOU can win it! - - #art #design #3d #r2r #render2reality #lto #livetooffend #khyzylsaleem #kyza #ks #blacklist #carlifestyle #fifteen52 #yokohamatire #advan #getnrg #moneylion #magnaflow #roush #supertouring #airwerks #vaderwerks #galpinautosports #larrychen
