Here at autoevolution, we like to combine the good, the bad and the extra strange for just the right mix of news. Here, we're definitely going for strange with a drag race that's probably never been done before.
On the one hand, we have a Ford GT, the all-American mid-engined supercar which uses a 5.4-liter V8 engine to produce about 550 hp and 500 pound-feet of torque. It's received a tune and a bigger pulley, so it should develop well over 600 hp now.

On the other hand, we have Godzilla itself, the 2012 Nissan GT-R in stock form, but making full use of its launch control function. It has the full 550 PS and grabs with all its might off the line, but as you can see it's no match for the Ford GT at higher speeds.

Mihnea's favorite cars have already been built, the so-called modern classics from the '80s and '90s. He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
