The Ford Focus Electric is probably one of the best choices for US EV buyers, as it offers the same blend of qualities as any other electric car on the market, while at the same time doing so without shouting about the fact that it is an electric vehicle. However, at just under $40,000 it was a bit on the expensive side, and Ford never really managed to sell all that many.
Now, though, the Blue Oval is willing to take as much as $10,750 off the list price, to entice customers to make the leap and buy an EV - their EV. This is more of a limited-time offer, according to the official site, as the offer only lasts until April 1.

Furthermore, the car can also be had via a 36-month lease plan, which will cost the user a reasonable $285-per-month.

Still, with the hefty discount, the price of the Focus Electric now drops to $29,245 including delivery, and while it is almost double what you pay for the regular petrol-powered Focus, it is still by no means a bad price for a current-generation EV.

The price modification may have something to do with the fact that Nissan now makes the Leaf EV in the US, and they have been able to cut its price considerably, as well as offer a new cheaper entry level variant for those who don`t want or need all the extra gadgets and gimmicks.
