Ford Fiesta Gets Enhanced for 2012

The Fiesta model launched by Ford two years ago has proven to be a huge success on most of the markets it is currently present on. But, as it happens with any man-made object, the Fiesta was to slowly slip from public awareness, hadn't Ford made a few small, yet very exciting changes to the model for the new model year.

The American car maker announced today the launch of a series of three new personalization packages for the Fiesta, which will change the model from the one we know it for a sizeable period of time into a whole new fun ride.

All packages launched by Ford this week focus more on changing a bit the interior and exterior of the model and less on enhancing the performance figures. They are based, says Ford, on the personalization choices made by the majority of the Fiesta buyers.

The first package is the Focus RS-inspired premium sport appearance package, that targets visual changes to the side mirrors, headlamps, grille surround, license plate header and upper rear hatch spoiler (all now come in Tuxedo Black paint). The offering for this package is rounded off by the addition of 16-inch polished alloy wheels and minor tweaks made to the manual transmission.

The premium interior packages, two of them, are meant for the Fiesta SEL and SES models. Changes that can be made by ordering this package include high-contrasting interior accent colors in Oxford White or Race Red, two-tone leather-wrapped steering wheel and a debossed “Fiesta” logo and black leather bolsters.

Ford did not announce the prices for the new offerings, but we're sure more details can be learned at your local Fiesta dealer.
