Ford Continues British Growth in November

Things are going great for Ford in the United Kingdom and the living proof is right the November sales which, according to the parent manufacturer, increased by 19 percent as compared to the same month of the previous year. Sales were obviously driven forward by Ford's most successful models, including the Ka, Fiesta, Focus, Kuga, S-MAX and Galaxy.

Specifically, Ford is the market leader with a share of 16 percent year to date, which means the company increased its market share by one point over the same period in 2008.

"These latest figures from the Society of Motor Manufacturers and Traders confirm the strength in-depth of our product line-up. A continuous flow of fresh, new models and technology is key to this strength - this month we are revealing the second of our sub-100g CO2/km models, with the latest Ford Focus ECOnetic joining the Ford Fiesta ECOnetic," Nigel Sharp, Ford Britain managing director, said in a statement.

Meanwhile, Ford is also preparing for the US launch of the popular Fiesta a model which is expected to bring strong sales in Ford's domestic market as well. In Europe, Fiesta was one of the best-selling models across the continent, mostly thanks to scrappage schemes set up by governments to encourage fuel efficient car sales.

In the US, the Fiesta will go on sale in 2010 as model year 2011, and will be offered with a total of five trims. Pricing for the sedan flavor starts at $13,995 for the S version, while the SE edition comes with a price tag of $14,995. The SEL sedan costs $16,995 while the two hatch versions, the SE and SES, pricing is $15,795 and $17,795, respectively.
