Compared to July 2013, this year's July has seen the Ford Motor Company sell 212,236 vehicles in North America, an increase of 10 percent over the same period last year and the best July in 8 years. With retail sales up 7 percent to 162,028 vehicles, the Blue Oval is enjoying a very good sales month.
“July proved to be a very good month for Ford and Lincoln with positive gains across the board in all the major segments,” said John Felice, Ford vice president of marketing, sales and service. “Escape and Fusion were big contributors to our sales increases, with both setting July sales records. F-Series again topped the 60,000-vehicle sales mark and we’re seeing great initial demand for our launch vehicles, such as the Transit Connect, Transit Connect Wagon and the Lincoln MKC.”

The Ford Fusion posted an all-time monthly sales record this July thanks to the 23,942 examples delivered, a gain of 17 percent compared to July 2013. As it was the case the former few months, the Western regions of the United States driven the Fusion's sales higher. In the case of the Ford Explorer, 16,797 units were sold, marking the SUV's best July since 2005. As for the Escape, sales were up 19 percent, setting an all-time record for the month of July.

The recently updated F-Series, both the light-duty and heavy-duty models, accounted for 63,240 trucks sold in July, translating to a 5 percent rise over the same month of last year. If you were wondering how the Blue Oval's luxury arm fared, the troubled Lincoln marque reported a hike of 17 percent, moving a total of 7,863 cars. In the brand's best July result in six years, the recently launched 2015 Lincoln MKC premium crossover has moved 1,534 examples in the month.
