Fisker's Vision Includes a $45,400 Alaska EV Pickup Truck, Your Move Tesla!

During the company's first-ever Product Vision Day (2023), Fisker Inc. revealed its new family of models - alongside the Ocean SUV now come Ronin, PEAR, Alaska, and the adventurous Ocean with Force E off-road package.
Taken one by one, each is innovative in at least one way. The 2025 (that's a tentative model year, remember this is Tesla territory) Fisker Ronin is only apparently a fully electric sedan. Instead, it turned out to be a flagship four-door, five-seat, convertible super GT. It resembles the shape of the Mazda RX-8, but Henrik Fisker was not necessarily throwing a punch at that – instead, he's more interested in the 605-mile (974 km) range, three-motor layout with over 1,000 hp, AWD, and zero to 60 mph (96 kph) in two seconds.

Naturally, that gives us dreams of quarter-mile dragstrip brawls between the Ronin and Tesla's Model S Plaid. Moving on, the PEAR is an acronym for Personal Electric Automotive Revolution, which in turn is a six-seat crossover SUV that has a 'Houdini' trunk and a sub-$30k asking price! Yep, that's a dirt-cheap battery-powered vehicle, and if they get it right, the company's future is assured. There was also the extreme Ocean with the new Force E off-road package on display for the many adventurers out there.

But wait, as that was not all. Last (but not least) on stage was the Fisker Alaska – a sustainable all-electric pickup truck that aims to score a touchdown in the field of EVs where the GMC Hummer, Rivian R1T, and Ford F-150 Lightning will soon do battle with the GMC Sierra EV, Chey Silverado EV, Ram 1500 REV, and – of course – the mighty Tesla Cybertruck.

The "versatile, advanced, and powerful all-electric four-door pickup truck" will soon be produced on an extended version of the Ocean platform (FT31) with multiple cargo configurations, "including a cargo bed extendable from 4.5 feet to 7.5 feet to 9.2 feet," plus another 'Houdini' trick – a bed divider that can connect the cargo bed to the rear area of the cabin.

Fisker designed it to be "the world's most sustainable truck" but more importantly to become the "world's lightest EV pickup truck" – another jab at the competition, this time at the heavy Ultium models. No details about performance were given, although the part about sharing the DNA with the Fisker Ocean makes us believe they will also have the same powertrains. For Alaska, though, range projections vary between 250 and 340 miles (402 to 547 km).

However, by far, the best thing about it is that Fisker wants to sell it for just $45,400 before incentives! Oh, and expected deliveries don't start until 2025, so there's enough time for a lot of stuff to change - even though pre-order reservations are already open at $250 a pop. Hopefully, they won't mess with the price, though.
