At the 2012 Geneva Motor Show, Renault Group’s budged brand Dacia unveiled its brand new people-moving vehicle. Called Lodgy after the English word ‘lodge’, the model prides itself with ample interior space.
Now, we’ve stumbled upon the first taxi incarnation of the Lodgy MPV, belonging to Spaniard Rafael Afonso who will be using it to provide taxi service in the town of Ingenio in Gran Canaria.

The Lodgy measures 4.5 meters in length and 1.75 in width, offering ample seating inside, even in the third row of seats, which is an option.

The Lodgy is sold with four engine choices: 1.6 MPI 105, 1.2 TCe 115, 1.5 dCi with either 90 PS or 110 PS. Prices start at just under €10,000 across Europe.

We wish the Lodgy many years of reliable and safe service as a taxi in Spain and wherever else it might be used.

He also loves local car culture from all over the world, so don't be surprised to see him getting excited about weird Japanese imports, low-rider VWs out of Germany, replicas from Russia or LS swaps down in Florida.
