There is no shortage of small city cars out there, so every manufacturer is trying to make theirs a little better. Some carmakers add some extra features, a bit of chrome on the bumper or better sound systems. But Fiat has chosen to give the little 500 a two-tone paint job.

The Italian brand has just released the first images of the 500 Bicolore. The model is expected to be the most important addition to be brought by Fiat to the Turin Motor Show in Bologna. The model will be on display at the event, scheduled to take place between December 4th and 12th.

The limited edition 500 sports a two-tone paint, with red on the bottom and white on top. The line that separated the two colors starts where the bonnet meets the body. A similar combination will be featured on the inside of the passenger compartment.

The new Bicolore color scheme will be available on all versions of the 500 and can be specified in combination with Pop, Sport and Lounge trim levels. The Fiat 500 Bicolore will be available in Italy starting January 2011.

The world-class 1.4-liter engine with Fiat's state-of-the-art MultiAir technology powers the Fiat 500 in 2011. MultiAir significantly reduces emissions while improving fuel economy and power delivery by up to 10 percent when compared to previous engine generations. The brilliant 1.4-liter 16v engine delivers 73.5 kW (100 hp) at 6,000 rpm and a maximum torque of 131 Nm (13.4 kgm) at 4,250 rpm. Fuel economy is impressive as well: in the combined cycle, this version consumes only 6.1 l/100 km (38 mpg) with a manual gearbox, dropping to 5.8 l/100 km (40 mpg) thanks to Start&Stop.
