Named after the SF90 racing car, the SF90 road car isn't your usual Prancing Horse. A marvel of engineering, it combines a punchy twin-turbo V8 with three electric drive units for a grand total of 1,000 cavalli vapore or 986 mechanical ponies.
Hugely capable in a straight line, and even more so in the corners, the somewhat heavy SF90 is the very opposite of an ugly car. While it may not be as pretty as the Dino-branded 246, it's hard to call it a disgrace by modern standards. Thing is, certain people might desire something a bit spicier. Those who couldn't place a deposit on the SF90 XX can very well get in touch with Zacoe Performance for the mother and father of all SF90 widebody kits.

Dubbed Lightning and reportedly inspired by two aircraft produced by what used to be Lockheed Corporation and what is now Lockheed Martin, the carbon-fiber widebody kit features large unpainted arches and massive vents above said arches. The front end rocks a three-piece splitter, and – according to Zacoe – it was inspired by the P-38.

You know, the large fighter aircraft developed by Lockheed Corporation for the US Army Air Corps prior to the beginning and during World War II. Just under 10,040 examples were manufactured between 1941 and 1945, with the P-38 proving its worth in the Pacific and the China Burma India Theater.

Further gifted with single-piece carbon skirts that blend into the stupidly large rear wheel arch extensions, the body kit is not for the faint of heart. Zacoe says the rear end is where F-35 influences can be seen, although it's hard to see any resemblance.

A completely different animal form the P-38 Lightning, the F-35 Lightning II is a multirole aircraft with a spotty development history. A symbol of the dysfunctional military-industrial complex that Ike warned us about during his farewell address, the F-35 program's total cost is expected to crack $2 trillion over the jet fighter's lifespan. As of April 2024, three variants are in service: F-35B for the Marine Corps, F-35A for the Air Force, and F-35C for the Navy. Only the B can take-off and land vertically like a helicopter.

Pictured in exposed-weave carbon fiber and Rosso Corsa-painted carbon fiber, the Lightning body kit does not have a price. Zacoe Performance has failed to mention what kind of carbon fiber they used for it as well, but given that we're talking about an SF90, it's definitely pre-preg carbon fiber.

Pre-preg as in pre-impregnated carbon fiber (dry carbon fiber), referring to pre-impregnated resin fibers in the carbon. Wet carbon fiber is carbon fiber coated with resin before the product is finished. It goes without saying that pre-preg carbon is lighter and stronger than the cheaper stuff, which explains the asking price for the Corvette Z06's carbon-fiber ground effects package. For the 2024 model year, it's a staggering $10,495 in visible carbon.

Speaking of America's most capable sports car, the C8 will receive an SF90-challenging variant in a few years' time. Think ZR1 twin-turbo V8 and the front-mounted electric motor of the E-Ray, therefore resulting in a 1,000-horsepower bully that could be called Zora as a nod to the man who convinced the big boys in Detroit that the C1 would be much better with a small block instead of an inline-six engine.
