Ferrari Offering Fiorano Test Track Tours

Ferrari’s Fiorano test track is now opened to the public. This means that enthusiasts can enter one of the Prancing Horse’ sanctuaries and actually see the circuit where every car produced by the Italian company is tested.

Visitors to the Galleria Ferrari at Maranello can also see the Fiorano Track, which Enzo Ferrari created in 1971 for testing and shaking down all the cars produced by the Prancing Horse company,” stated the press release.

Ferrari offers a guided tour that uses a shuttle to offer an experience of the track, with special points of interest. Some of these are Enzo Ferrari’s original office and the Italian air force’s 51st squadron F104 fighter jet, which raced a Ferrari F1 car driven by Gilles Villeneuve back in 1981. The race, which included a standing start, one km run, took place on the Istrana (Treviso) airport in Italy and was won by the F1 car.

The tour also includes visiting the Nuova Logisitica pavilion and the Gestione Sportiva buildings (this is the F1 cars nursery).

From the track, which features some corners that replicate those on the main European race circuits, one can also marvel at the Nuova Logistica pavilion and the Gestione Sportiva buildings where the Formula 1 cars are built. The aim of the tour is to give fans a taste of Ferrari history, through some of its significant moments and the first participants on this tour were full of praise for the visit once it was over,” stated the press release.
