We know, you’d say that we should talk about his one-off Ferrari Enzo P4/5, but the answer would be incomplete. The man is currently having a Competizione version of the car built, as Jalopnik reports.
We are referring to the vehicle that you can see in the adjacent rendering. While Glickenhaus’ Enzo P4/5 uses a body that started out in life being destined for a F430 Scuderia, the P4/5 Competizione will borrow the V8 powerplant and suspension from the F430 GT2 racer taking part in the American Le Mans Series (ALMS).
As you can see, the Enzo P4/5 and the P4/5 Competizione will share the exterior design. The latter is scheduled to make its debut at next year’s 24 Hours Nurburgring race, with the vehicle potentially being entered in the competition’s experimental class.
This move will mean that the vehicle will compete against extremely special cars, such as Porsche’s 918 Spyder (which is headed for production) and the hybrid version of the Porsche 911 racer.
But the vehicle’s story doesn’t end here. Oh no. After the race, Glickenhaus plans to have the P4/5 Competizione converted into a street legal car, so that he can use it whenever he wants.
We will have to wait for the 2011 Nurburgring 24 Hours race, which is scheduled to take place on June 25-26, to see what the racer is really capable of.
