We’ve recently had another go in the Ferrari FF and the reason for our trip was the land beneath the car. This time, we took the family man’s Ferrari to the Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road in the UAE. The pic above should give you a slight idea of how much of a difference the elevation change can do when testing a car.
We’re not going to step up and say that Jebel Hafeet is the best driving road in the world, simply because that title is subjective. Nevertheless, these 21 corners spread over an altitude difference of 4,098 feet (1,249 meters) will squeeze every inch of performance your car has to give and then some more.
The FF uses a second gearbox for the front axle instead of conventional AWD system. The setup means that you’ll feel you’re in an aided RWD car rather than in an all-wheel drive one.
The typical Ferrari V12 voice is accompanied by the sound of the V12 sucking air through the twin massive boxes up front. We’re off for another climb now, but you can find the complete story in the Full HD photo gallery of our Ferrari FF on Jebel Hafeet Mountain Road article.
