If you were looking for an excellent looking car, to print out on a large piece of glossy paper and stick on your bedroom wall, your search has ended. Feast your eyes on the stunning Holden Torana GTR-X, a concept car from 1970 which the manufacturer seriously thought of putting into production - we are amazed that they didn’t.
This is Holden’s and Australia’s best looking cars, and, we would go as far as to say that it is one of the best looking in the world. Also, while it may echo some very successful designs of the time, like the Jag E-Type, the Ferrari 308, and even the Mazda RX-7 of the time, it is utterly and undeniably unique.
Its side profile is very elegant and very unique - if they would have put it into production, it would have been one of its trademarks. Also, the rear looks very clean, with curved headlights which look much newer than the time it was designed would suggest.
It featured pop-up headlamps, it had a very low drag coefficient, as well as chromed rims and one of the coolest names ever to be bestowed onto a car - the GTR-X. Too bad it never got to see the happy end of a production line.
