We don’t blame you if the name Cars makes you think of...well, cars. But it also represents a 2006 computer-animated comedy adventure sports film produced by Pixar. Lightning McQueen is one of the main characters in both the first and the 2011 sequel, it’s no wonder this 3-year-old boy loves it.
Impersonated by Owen Wilson in both Cars and Cars 2, the design of the persona is based on generic NASCAR vehicles, but with design influences from the Mazda Miata and Dodge Viper. There’s not much of a Ford Mustang involved in the initial design of this car, but there are enough similarities for this cool dad to use his car for the job.

Yes, this piece is about a story with a happy ending; car customization finally gets a different point than the one rappers and Kardashians give to it. According to Toledo News Now, Brett Winek from Memphis transformed his car to give his son an excellent surprise. The idea came from the 3-year-old boy’s toy car that, apparently, took the shape of Lighting McQueen.

Winek recently bought a new Ford Mustang - happy fellow, we know - and since the vehicle was finished in the same bright red the hero car has, he figured he could make his son cheering. It appears that he had Tennessee Tint in Bartlett to take care of the job, and we can only congratulate them for the job.

“Just to give you an example, he watched Cars 2 yesterday — three times,” Brett Winek told Yahoo Parenting about his son, Holden. “McQueen is his favorite character, and he loves Mater, too. He has both of the characters in toy cars and mimics their sayings all the time while playing. And I’ll be cooking dinner or washing clothes and just hear him giggling [while the characters are] goofing off in the movie.”
