After last summer's unveiling, the facelifted Scala and Kamiq have finally gone on sale in the United Kingdom. Skoda has opened the order books for both models, announcing the pricing and other details about them, and stating that deliveries will commence in the second quarter of the year.
For the 2024 Scala, Skoda is asking at least £22,095 (equal to $28,088). The compact hatchback comes in the SE, SE L, and Monte Carlo trim levels. The range-topper comes from £27,765 ($35,296), and for the mid-spec, interested parties are looking at a minimum of £23,895 ($30,376).
Choosing the SE will get you 16-inch alloys, LED headlamps and DRLs, an 8.25-inch infotainment system, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, keyless go, and dual-zone climate control. The SE-L brings 17-inch wheels, 9.2-inch infotainment, 10.25-inch digital dials, ambient lighting, and a rear center armrest. Finally, the Monte Carlo tops the lineup with its 18-inch alloys, LED Matrix headlamps, panoramic sunroof, Sport driving mode, and a few updates on the outside.
Skoda's Scala family is offered with gasoline power solely. The SE and SE L kick off with the 95 ps (94 hp/70 kW) 1.0 TSI, followed by the 116 ps (114 hp/85 kW) 1.0 TSI, which is the base engine of the Monte Carlo. A DSG version of the punchier unit is also available, and the 150 ps (148 hp/110 kW) 1.5 TSI with manual or automatic transmissions completes the offering. The aforementioned pricing is for the base lump available with each trim level.
Choosing the platform-related 2024 Skoda Kamiq means having to decide between the three grades available. These are also called SE, SE-L, and Monte Carlo, and they start at £24,030 ($30,548), £27,175 ($34,546), and £29,275 ($37,216), respectively.
Skoda's subcompact high-rider is nicely equipped, featuring 17-inch alloys, LED headlights, LED DRLs, rear parking sensors, four USB-C sockets, an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, 8.25-inch infotainment, and others in the base flavor. The mid-spec adds 18-inch wheels, larger dual screens, red and white ambient lighting, rear privacy windows, and chrome window surrounds.
Topping the 2024 Skoda Kamiq lineup is the Monte Carlo, with its dynamic look, black side mirror casings, grille, and badging, 18-inch alloys with a black look, full Matrix LED headlights, LED taillights, keyless entry and push-button start, panoramic sunroof, and a few other gizmos that further differentiate it from the lesser variants.
The 2024 Skoda Kamiq shares its engine lineup with the Scala. The base SE kicks off with the 95 ps TSI and also includes the 116 and 150 PS 1.0L and 1.5L TSI, respectively, with manual and automatic gearbox. The SE L is only available with the latter two lumps, including the same transmission options, and so is the top-of-the-line Monte Carlo.
